Teo Insights

Teo Insights are short, AI-written highlights that surface the most interesting stories in your competition — leaders, upsets, hot streaks, standout fighters, group leaders, and meta shifts — without anyone needing to read a chart.

Teo analyzes your competition's match data and writes a handful of narrative highlights that refresh automatically as more matches are played. You don't have to turn them on — they appear once your competition has enough completed matches.

Where Insights Appear

| Location | What shows | | ----------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Competition overview page | The Teo's Take card, with the latest highlights | | Discord | A daily Teo's Daily Briefing digest, if a channel is subscribed |

What Teo Can Highlight

Teo draws on standings, fighter/character records, and recent results to surface a varied mix each cycle — it deliberately rotates across players, fighters, and individual matches so the highlights don't repeat the same angle.

| Highlight | What it calls out | | -------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Standings leader | Who currently tops the table, with their record, points, and form | | Hot streak | A player on a run of consecutive wins | | Cold streak | A top-ranked contender who has lost several in a row | | Upset | A lower-ranked player beating a higher-ranked favorite | | Dominant win | A clean sweep against a top-ranked opponent | | Fighter record | A fighter/character that's dominating, struggling, or beating expectations | | Most-played | The "meta staple" fighters seeing the most play | | Matchup anomaly | A fighter winning a matchup it historically tends to lose | | Group spotlight | The leader of each group or pool in a multi-group stage | | Meta shift | The top fighters by win rate reshuffling over time | | Milestone | The competition (or a player) reaching a round-number match count |

When Insights Start

Insights generate automatically as your match data refreshes — usually within a few minutes of matches being completed. A competition needs a minimum number of completed matches before each kind of highlight unlocks:

  • Basic highlights (standings leader, group leaders, milestones) begin around 5 completed matches.
  • Streaks and fighter-record highlights need 15+.
  • Matchup-anomaly and meta-shift highlights need 30+.

Until there's enough data, the Teo's Take card simply won't appear — there isn't a meaningful story to tell yet.

Refreshing Insights Manually

Insights refresh on their own, but you can force a regeneration against the latest results:

  1. Open your competition and go to Manage → Settings.
  2. Find the stats/insights refresh controls.
  3. Click Refresh Insights.

This is useful right after a busy match day, or to recover if a scheduled run was missed.

Turning Insights Off

Teo Insights are on by default. To hide them for a competition, open Manage → Settings and turn off Enable Teo Insights. When disabled, the Teo's Take card is hidden and no Discord digest is sent for that competition.

Sharing Insights on Discord

Teo can post a daily Teo's Daily Briefing to a Discord channel so your community sees the latest highlights without visiting the site:

  1. Connect your Discord server to your organization.
  2. In the channel you want, use the bot's /subscribe command.
  3. Choose the Teo's Daily Briefing event type.

The digest is sent once a day and only includes new highlights — if nothing new happened, no message is sent.

Who Can See Insights

Full insights are part of Teo Pro. Viewers without Pro see a single highlight as a preview with an upgrade prompt; Pro viewers see the full set and can give each highlight a thumbs up or down. That feedback helps tune which highlights Teo prioritizes over time.

Tips

  • More matches, better stories. Early on you'll see standings and milestones; as results accumulate, streaks, fighter records, and meta shifts join the mix.
  • Group stages get group call-outs. If your stage is split into groups or pools, Teo spotlights each group's leader.
  • Refresh after a big day if you want the overview page to reflect the newest results right away rather than waiting for the next automatic cycle.
