Notification Preferences
You're in control of how Tabletop League reaches you. Open Settings → Notifications to choose which channels you use and which kinds of updates come through each one.
Your preferences are the final word: an organizer can quiet a competition's broadcast notifications, but no organizer setting can override your choices — if you've turned a channel off, it stays off for you.
Channels
Each channel has a master switch plus per-category toggles. Turn the channel off entirely, or keep it on and pick which categories it carries.
| Channel | Master switch | Categories you can toggle | | ----------- | --------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Push | Push enabled | Match results, tournament updates, upcoming matches, announcements | | Discord | Discord enabled | Verification requests, announcements | | Email | Email enabled | Verification requests, announcements (plus digest frequency, below) |
In-app notifications (the bell icon) always show your activity and aren't muted here — they're the lightweight record of everything that happened.
Email digest frequency
Under Email, the Digest frequency selector controls how often non-urgent email reaches you:
- Instant — sent as things happen
- Daily / Weekly — grouped into a single roundup
- Never — no non-urgent email at all
Time-sensitive emails (like a result you need to verify) are sent regardless, so choosing a digest never leaves you unable to act on something that matters.
What you'll always receive
A few notifications are tied to actions only you can take, so they're delivered no matter your category toggles (your channel master switches still apply):
- A result you need to verify or correct
- A dispute or deletion request on one of your matches
- A round-deadline warning when you have an outstanding match
- A check-in reminder when a competition requires it
- A nudge from an organizer about a match that's gone quiet
Discord
Linking your Discord account (under Settings → Connections) unlocks the Discord channel and lets organizers add you to private match threads for coordination. If you haven't linked Discord, you'll still get every notification through your other enabled channels. See Notifications & Nudges (organizer docs) for how organizers use Discord threads.
